Mark Sagoff responds to my article in The Journal of Value Inquiry. My friend Aaron Novick and I are busy working on a paper that better expresses what were calling the anti-originalist view (thats the view that carbon-copy duplicates of paintings -- and other works of art considered autographic -- share or express the same aesthetic properties). Aaron is a super-competent philosopher, so I hope this paper will be a significant improvement over my earlier effort.
