Marksville, La. - If a picture is worth a thousand words, a video is worth $1.6 Million. Jury trial slated to begin in Avoyelles Parish due to the injuries sustained by a 30 year old laborer as a result of a motor vehicle crash captured on video of the defendants vehicle. Notice the driver falling asleep on the video, and crossing the center line. (SEE ATTACHED VIDEO) The defendant agreed, however, to resolve the matter for $1,600,000.00, rather than be judged by a jury of its peers. The plaintiff had undergone two spinal surgeries as a result as a result of the injuries sustained in the subject incident. The plaintiff had incurred more than $250,000.00 in medical expenses, and faces an uncertain future as to his work life.
