Marmion Junior Receives Perfect ACT Score Jacob Ebert, son of Mike and Barb Ebert of Sycamore, recently scored a perfect 36 composite score on the ACT. Ebert is a junior at Marmion Academy in Aurora. Marmion Academy students have a history of excelling on the ACT, a national college admission examination that consists of subject area tests in English, Mathematics, Reading and Science. Marmion Academy’s Class of 2013 had an average ACT composite score of 26.3 with the top 25% of the class earning a composite score of 32.1. The 2013 Illinois state average composite score was 20.6 and the national average composite score was 20.9. The ACT also measures college readiness in each of the subject areas. 71.7% of Marmion Academy’s Class of 2013 met or exceeded the ACT College Readiness Benchmark scores in all four subject areas tested. The Illinois state average of college readiness was 25% and the national average was 26%.
