Marriage. I see ALOT of single people lately looking to get married. Im not at all against marriage- I really support it- but I question the intent. It shouldnt be a GOAL, it should be a decision made carefully- deliberately- over a considerable time. I dont agree with looking for a husband/ wife, kinda putting the wagon before the horse. First you should be looking for a FRIEND, someone compatible to you. Take time, grow together, discuss & observe your developmental arcs (the right one today might not be the right one for life). Go through some hard times together, see how they handle themselves & you MORE THAN ONCE. Only then should you even THINK about marriage. Its no wonder marriages dont last; people must be entering with preconceived notions all mapped out & real life DONT HAPPEN THAT WAY. Love yourself first & youll find the patience to make better decisions, cause EVERY marriage is for life. Be that under the same roof or only in your memories, it will effect you for the rest of your life. Do you want that to be the baggage that forever weighs in you, or the plane that lifts you to new heights?
