Marsha “JUST AN AMAZING GIFT GIVING EVENT - The 2014 Silicon Harlem Winter Soiree and Toy Drive” Message: I had a wonderful time at Silicon Harlems Soiree and Toy Drive at MIST Harlem - My Image Studios LLC. As background, Silicon Harlem is a social venture that has been designed to transform Harlem into a technology and innovation hub. Now, the goal of the event was to collect toys for children and that was accomplished in a BIG WAY with almost 200 toys collected for the Children’s Aid Society. Highlights of the evening included remarks by Manhattan Borough President Gale A. Brewer, a Tech Talk with Dr. Amen Ra Mashiriki, NYC Mayor’s Office Chief Data Officer and a short film titled “A Geeks Guide to Love and Romance” produced by Emlyn Stuart. Congratulations to the Co-Founders of Silicon Harlem - Clayton Banks and Bruce Lincoln - and all of the event organizers. I also had the distinct opportunity to meet Mr. Carlton Brown, Co-owner of MIST Harlem and Chief Operating Officer of Full Spectrum of NY. Oh - What a Night!!
