Martin Luther King Jr is quoted to have said that: Mans inhumanity to man is not only perpetrated by the vitriolic actions of those who are bad. It is also perpetrated by the vitiating inaction of those who are good. It has been claimed that the boy child is influenced by bad role models, who are often viewed as indisciplined, unkempt, aggressive and offensive. These are the dominant characteristics that describe such models. However, armchair critics of bad role models have done little if any to step up and give an alternative. Every year on social media, men are celebrating getting married, getting children, or sending children to school. These are men of noble character. There are thousands if not millions of them. But where are they to mentor these young men? Where are we to rise up and tell the young men that hey wait a sec, you can remain disciplined, clean, respectful and respectable. Last year during the CITAM Hes conference, Pastor Kenny Luck the guest speaker threw a challenge to men and said, WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD FELL ON THE 700 MILLION JESUS CONFESSING MEN IN THE WORLD? The impact would be immense. We must arise. Time is now. The enemy is not asleep, neither should we. On 22nd Feb 2014 from 9.00 AM we at Founded Families Ministry through a program called Young and Pure (based on Psalm 119:9) will be launching a mentorship program for young men and women. This is 6 topic, 6 month program whose objective is to map young men to mentors who will walk with them through a journey of developing their own life blueprints and ensure that they live it out.
