Marvin Williams is coming to Charlotte and joins PJ Hairston as former Tar Heels playing for the Hornets. He signed a two-year, $14 million deal. The deal was made when the Hornets offered former teammate of Marvins, Gordon Haywood, a 4-year, $63 million deal, but the offer sheet was matched this evening by the Utah Jazz. Marvin comes to Charlotte in his 10th season in the NBA, averaging close to 11 points, 5.1 rebounds per game while shooting just under 45% in his career. Marvin was the #2 overall draft pick of the 2005 NBA Draft by the Atlanta Hawks after playing as the sixth man on the 2005 National Championship team.
