Maryland seriously needs to switch to an open primary than keep holding closed primaries. There are reports on Heather Mizeur for Marylands Facebook page that due to people not being able to switch in time to Democrat or somehow their paper to request a party change somehow didnt go through in time to vote in this years Democratic primary, it screwed them out of voting for Heather Mizeur because Maryland has a closed primary. It really angers me that due to the current way we do Primary elections here in Maryland, its very likely that Heather Mizeur couldve gotten a lot more votes than she did in tonights election results if we had an open primary. Its pretty incredible however that with currently 1101 of 1988 Precincts Reporting, Heather Mizeur has 21.29% of the total votes.
