Mason~Dixon Crew… Member’s Rides Im getting back on track after being at the Mustang’s 50th Birthday Celebration. So please allow me to introduce you to Nick Garcia’s Mustang that he fondly refers to as “SHELBY”. There is a good reason for the cars name. SHELBY is a great example of a 2009 SHELBY GT500. She’s clad in a beautiful coat of Vapor Silver paint and sports the very familiar GT500 racing stripes in a glossy black. She’s powered by Ford’s Supercharged 5.4 liter engine backed by a 5 speed transmission. There is a great story behind the purchase of SHELBY… In Nick’s words… “We got our 2009 Shelby in Aug. 2012 from C Harper. Teris parents told us about the Shelby and apparently my face lit up more than I realized. It only had 1800 miles on it. I called the dealership on Monday with doubts that they even had it. To my surprise, they still had it and we went down that night, checked it out and brought it home”. It is #762 of 3004 coupes made in 2009 and #96 of 382 in Vapor Silver. Nick has added a FLOWMASTER Axle-Back Exhaust to improve her performance. He has also added Cervini’s Side Scoops to personalize her exterior style. He has several more modifications planned for both performance and style. They include… a Cold Air Intake, Ram Air Hood, High Flow Cats and a smaller pulley for the supercharger. There is one important, I guess two, interior modifications that Nick left out. I felt the need to add that SHELBY regularly sports two Child Safety Seats in her back seat. Mustangs are a family thing for Nick, Teri and their children Lexi and Lucas. I think it’s great that they involve the kids in all of the Mustang events they attend. SHELBY is a great looking Stang Nick and it’s no wonder she keeps your face lit up!
