Massive congratulations to Coach Alexs U13 Premier boys who were finalists at the Vegas Cup this weekend. The boys won all the groups games: 5-0 (Utah Surf); 1-0 (Wasatch); 4-0 (Surf, SD); then went on to win the Semi (v SD Footy Academy) 2-0. So in total, 12 goals scored (many of superb quality!) and 0 conceded! In the finals, the boys met the #1 team from Utah and lost 1-0 in a very tight game. The boys were tired and leg weary but gave a great account of themselves and are to be given every credit for their tremendous weekend! Coach Gwynn, who was covering for Coach Alex, commented, They are a great group of boys and a great group of very supportive parents! They have welcomed me and made me feel very ‘at home’ with the team over the past couple of months. Making the finals here at such a tough tournament is only just rewards for how hard the boys have been working!
