Massive gaited draft cross gelding for sale in Athens, Georgia. $1200 Over 15 videos in his dropbox folder, look to the very very bottom of the ad (please actually read the entire ad) for the link to see all of his pics and videos. -- currently loading #10 of 15+ videos, if you dont see 15 videos, please wait until morning and check again- takes FOREVER to upload. Can ship; recommend using uship for good quotes. I am listing ALL 10 of my horses for sale (couldnt decide which I wanted to keep- whichever 3 (or 4) I get down to I will keep). I only have 4 acres on which to pasture my horses (vs the 20 I used to have). Must get down before Christmas, but not in a massive hurry. All of my horse are ridden daily (we have like 15 neighborhood kids who come over to ride) and are sound and healthy. All have UTD coggins and vaccines (done may 2nd) as well as current farrier care. If you see a horse in the videos you may be interested in, please PM me. If they are not explicitly listed here, its because they dont meet one of the requirements for posting and I wont discuss them in the group, but am happy to send pics/vids/info for any other horses you see in the videos- again- everyone is for sale until we get down to a manageable number. Big Gelding #1: Thor (aptly named for his glorious flaxen mane a la Chris Hemsworth) is a 15.3 hand, 1200# beast of a draft/racking horse cross. Hes built tough with massive bone, a wide chest, and an ass to match. He IS gaited (beautifully so if you apply a tiny bit of pressure- see videos) and makes the perfect husband or large beginners horse. Yes he would probably gait even better if I put him in a walking horse bit, but I use him for beginners who dont know how to set a head correctly and we mostly use O ring snaffles for trails anyway. He is calm, easy to ride, gentle as can be, but not clunky like most drafts. Hes also not so tall you cant mount from the ground. He moves gracefully and is as surefooted as my fox trotter mare. He IS fun for experienced riders, yet I trust him explicitly to carry my VERY VERY BEGINNER 66 260# boyfriend all over the place. Down steep mountains and through the rivers- he has never slipped or done anything to make him nervous. He does not buck, rear, bite, or kick. He is 100% sound and rides well barefoot- even over the worst rocks. He is traffic, dog, and kid safe. He loads, trailers, ties, and is good for the vet and farrier. He has no vices at all, and is comfortable in a stall as well as an open pasture. He is GENTLE ON FENCES (normally I hate drafts because theyre awful to keep in a fence- he never touches them). Currently ridden daily by my 13 year old adopted nephew and his friends, ridden by me and my boyfriend on weekends. He had all winter off, and there was no bad attitude, took back to daily riding like he hadnt had six months off. He is not herd or buddy sour, and rides away from the barn like a gentleman. Rides as often alone as he does with other horses. Included in his album are some pictures from December (hes fluffy, darker brown, and SUPER dirty- he had just gotten in the pond). He lost some weight this past winter and is gaining it all back nicely- I didnt realize under his blanket how much he was losing due to the other horses not letting him eat-- he is bottom of the totem pole in my herd. He is now fed generic all stock 1x/day (3 lbs of 14% pellet) and offered grass hay free choice. He normally stays fat on air, I just have to make sure they let him eat. dropbox link: https://dropbox/sh/jpn3rjvxsvzixca/AADGHBKPtbWnTJzremOldSIda
