Massive thanks to everyone that came to High Energys First Birthday Bash on Friday. Wow, what a night and what an atmosphere. The amount of horns and whistles blew me away, literally! Thats exactly what Im going for when trying to recreate that 90s vibe. Was well chuffed with the turn out, especially when Slipmatt was on, the place was rammed. Huge thanks goes out to the Godfather himself Slipmatt who for the second time completely smashed it at High Energy. An absolutely wicked multi genre set from the man, when he dropped House Of Pains Jump Around the place went berserk, that was quite a moment, I was not expecting that! Big ups to Funky Flirt who came with a wicked Jungle and classic Drum and Bass set, everyone loved it, heard some awesome tunes, nice one mate, respect. Thanks to all the other DJs, Ponder, Flapjack, Uniques, Quick Lung and Darkus, you guys did me proud with the selections, some massive tunes old and new got dropped and was lapped up by the mixed crowd of young and old. Respect to all the MCs, big up Damageman, Marty, Banton, DSP, Situation Redd, Dan E, Chunksta and Dizbelief. You lot hyped the crowd and kept the party rolling perfectly. I listened to all the recordings when I got in and honestly every set is top notch, everyone on the line up completely smashed it, once again thanks to you all. A big, big thanks to Martin, Tony, Leo, Zyanya and all the management, security and bar staff at KCs Nightclub. You always make us feel very welcome and Im so grateful you allow me to put on these events for the people and bring all these legends to Ipswich to perform in your club. Big shout out to Jae and Katrina going around taking pictures of you all and capturing the night so well, nice work guys, thank you so much and a special thanks to Katrina for all her support and help. The biggest thanks goes out to all the ravers though, all the friendly and smiling up for it party people that come out in force and bring the noise and appreciate all the different styles played and party hard right until the end with no trouble at all. Its always a major buzz for me at the very end when everyone is still going for it and shouting one more! Thats what its all about and why I do it. High Energy is back in December for another multi genre Rave event at its home, the awesome KCs Nightclub in Ipswich. Once again thanks to each and every one of you for making it such an enjoyable and memorable night, I really appreciate all the support. Planning and promoting these events is not easy and I experience it from a completely different angle but when I see everyone having the time of their life and smiling it makes it all worth it.
