Master trainer tip: When doing seated dumbbell shoulder presses, make sure to keep you upper arms parallel with the floor throughout the movement. Going below parallel puts the muscle out of tension (rest). We want time+tension so do a press, squeeze at the top and lower the dumbbells with control right at parallel then back up for the next rep. Elbows should be at 90 degrees at the bottom of the movement. Never should your elbows end up in your sides. Try it for yourself and see the difference in the tension on the muscle.
