Matthew 15:31-32 The people were amazed when they saw the mute speaking, the crippled made well, the lame walking and the blind seeing. And they praised the God of Israel. Jesus called his disciples to him and said, I have compassion for these people; they have already been with me three days and have nothing to eat. I do not want to send them away hungry, or they may collapse on the way There are three things that God will do when you stay in His presence 1. He will perform miracles -There is an option for the people to go home after hearing Him preach the gospel but they didnt leave because they are sooooo hungry with His word! They preferred to stay! Most of us go to church but we do not experience His presence and His miracles. Why? Because this kind of people hear the word and then go home then forgot the word! The word of God is like a seed planted in the hearts of those who hear the gospel. Staying in His presence is the application of it. When you leave you let the seed die. No growth at all! These people in whom Jesus shared the gospel preferred to stay! In early verses of Matthew chapter 15 He is just teaching but in the later part a seed grew to a Canaanite woman! She stepped into a higher level of faith! She cane near to Jesus and she made up her mind that no one can stop her! Jesus performed miracle! The daughter of the Canaanite woman was healed and delivered from demon-possession! Witnessing this, the people who heard the word decided to stay! Take note, they stepped into a higher level of faith! Whos in the right mind who will stay for 3 days with a teacher they didnt even know adding the fact that they dont have food to it!!! Whoooah!! They still stay because they trust Him! I am not saying that you stay in the church! What I am saying is you stay in His presence. In my prayer time I can experience Him everyday. It is hard for you to experience His presence when you do not know him in the first place. So the first thing to do is to discover who Christ is in your life. Expect miracle in your soaking with His presence. What happened when they stay? Crippled became well, mute speaking, lame walking, blind seeing! God is a God of possibilities! Dont contain Him in a box! 2. God will have compassion in you -When you are faithful to God it is impossible that He will not acknowledge you. I didnt see anyone who keep on following a person wherever he goes without that person knowing that someone is following him. God is far better than that because He hears even your simplest prayer. What more when you stay??? Visitation is when you feel the presence of God. Habitation is when you stay into that feeling! God will notice you in your faithful walk with Him. He will have compassion with you! He sees every action youre doing. He sees your desires, your efforts, your dreams, your thoughts! People.... we are dealing with a BIG GOD here not a man made of black wood. Most of us surrender and quit when our prayers are not answered. Hey look at these people who followed Jesus in three days with nothing to eat! They still stay because they know God! He will have compassion in you! 3. God will bless you and equip you -What did Jesus do when He saw these people stayed? He called His disciples and He didnt ask what can they give! He claim it! In His statement I do not want to send them hungry He is decided to bless the people. God performed another miracle to bless them! From the 7 loaves of bread He fed FOUR THOUSAND men not including women and children! Wow!!! Isnt it amazing? Isnt it surprising? These people who already experienced miracle still didnt leave!! They preferred to stay with nothing to eat!!! God knows what He is doing. It is a test of faith! God bless theses people. He also made them equipped In His statement in verse 32 or they may collapse on the way. God knows that these people who followed Him are spirit-filled already but their stomach were empty! God bless them so they will be equipped in their walk as God sends them. They are equipped physically and spiritually. The key there is staying. When we go to church we need to make sure that we are living the word planted in us. Eventually it will grow. God will bless you!!! Let me pray for you: Lord I thank you for the life of the person reading this. It is not a waste of time reading your word. Bless this person reading this in his/her financial needs. Bless him/her and make him/her healthy. Perform miracles in his/her life as he/she calls to you. Lord reveal yourself to him/her more that they will experience your goodness.
