Matthew 18:21,22 Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven. Dear Friend, there’s so much to be gained when God takes us through what I call “growing experiences.” Being transparent, I’m sharing a “Word” given to me because of my own situation. So I say to you: “Give yourself a break and forgive, forget and move on with your life.” God nicely chastened me with this “thought” and it follows…”Who appointed you judge, jury and warden? God is the only one who approves or convicts, for He created us. We didn’t create anybody. You say; “I can forgive but I can’t forget.” God said: “I forgot your sins—I don’t remember them. Can’t you forget those sins done to you? Avenge not your adversary—I will repay,“ saith the Lord. “God, you see and know it all,” should be your heart’s cry, “…so I ask You to help me forget and forgive my offender in Jesus’ name.” Look up, my friend, and worship the Father who delights in rescuing us from such vengeful meditations. Remember: “As a man thinketh so is he…” so let those thoughts be dismissed, once and for all. Give yourself a break. Aren’t you weary of robbing yourself, loved ones and affiliates of peace? You should be - so just refuse to rehearse negative thoughts any longer. Save your own self and dismiss them. It’s time to grow up and emulate Christ, forgive sincerely and represent our Heavenly Father in spirit and in truth. Anticipate God smiling on us as we forget once and for all and move on. Oh Yes! It’s another earnest expectation, another time to love joyously! The Father, Son and Holy Spirit will be pleased as we mature in the fruit of the Spirit. Think how love, peace and joy abound during seasons of conviction and confession. Let’s humbly strive to forgive and forget FOR REAL. You ask: “how many times? Seventy times seventy? Lord, help us!” “So be it…” He replies, for help is only a prayer away. Amen!
