Matthew 22:36-40 (New King James Version) “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?” Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.” These seem like they are given and easy as a Christian.. Reality is it is harder to be a good Christian just as easy it is to be a good sinner. Ill be a hypocrite if I say I am the best Christian that I dont fall and if I judge others I will just be exalting myself like the Pharisee. Instead like the Publican and the Prodigal I kneel before God who is my refuge and fortress in Jesus filled with the Holy Spirit in whom I can do all things that gives me strength that truly though I dont realise at the time I can stand before all then with God with me I dont care who is against me begging for his grace barely uttering from polluted lips but praying the prayer of my heart Lord, Jesus Christ Son of God have mercy on me the sinner. I arise and sign myself with the cross saying with gladness Hail, most precious and life-giving Cross of the Lord, for you drive away the demons by the power of our Lord Jesus Christ crucified on you, Who went down to hell and trampled on the power of the devil, and gave us you, his honourable Cross, for driving away all enemies. O most precious and life-giving Cross of the Lord, help me, with our Holy Lady, the Virgin Mother of God, and with all the Saints throughout the ages. Amen and as wax melts from the presence of fire, so let the demons perish from the presence of those love God and sign themselves with the Cross. Most of you will read and think its too long but deep down this is for all because no matter what we are going through we will turn to God expecting a miracle and wanting our prayers to be answered and as I said its harder to be a good true Christian just as easy as being a good sinner so advice is humble yourself like the Publican and always say the Jesus Prayer, be tenacious like the widow have faith as small as a mustard seed look to the example of the Apostles and Saints martyred for the faith and for Jesus, live the bible, have the attitude of the Most Holy Theotokos, keep the commandments especially the greatest two and always be asking, seeking and knocking thanking God for your daily bread praising him in all things and most important acknowledging Lord let your will not my will be done in all things and Thank you. Remember if if it wasnt for Jesus you wouldnt be here and if it wasnt for the Apostles and Saints martyred for the faith you wouldnt be Christian and if it wasnt for the Most Holy Blessed Virgin Theotokos Mary and her faith we wouldnt have Jesus. Your choice? But as for me I pray O Lord, Jesus Christ Son of God, through the prayers of Your most pure Mother and all the Saints have mercy upon us all. Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit both now and for ever and to the ages of ages. Amen. Through the prayers of our Holy Fathers, Lord Jesus Christ, our God, have mercy on us and save us. Amen!!
