Matthew 25 turned ONE WEEK old yesterday. So much has happened quickly. My house went from a little, neat and organized cottage to a packed to the ceiling storage unit. I have given up on trying to reach the bathroom off my bedroom. Victoria and I now have a system in place as deliveries show up. We unpack the boxes, sort like items into the same boxes. Figured out nine rolling backpacks can fit into a large box if packed in a certain order and that those air packs sent with every box lose the joy of popping after a while. San Antonio is off to a good start but covering 200 packs requires a lot of donations. We are still accepting Amazon gift cards but unless specified all the cards go to SA supplies. Lackland is slower. Books are the object of desire there and it was hard for me to figure out what titles were needed. Thanks to some suggestions we now have a good choice. The Bibles are still in the list. We are looking at some other options for books and Bibles. Some of the surprise donations have been authors donating their own books, sample size donations of hygiene items that you have stashed in drawers and ability to write in Spanish from the card making crew! DFW is now looking at getting diapers and such. I put in case orders because that is the most inexpensive per diaper BUT it is almost the most expensive initial outlay. It is always acceptable to substitute a like item on the list if you find it for less or in a smaller quantity. Thank you everyone who has been a part of this. I am so blessed to be a part of such a wonderful network of friends and friends of friends. Now... lets go San Antonio!!
