Matthew 6: 25 & 27 Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?...Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? Life is more important than cars, more important than fame, more important than DKNY, Guess, Levis, Rolex. It is more important than the highest position in ur company, more important than ur bank account, more important than property. In fact continually worrying about things reduces your life span. It brings so much stress in ur life. You are so worried about getting that promotion, so worried about getting that business, so worried about getting that degree or that diploma, that everything else you neglect. You neglect your family, you neglect caring about others, you feel you deserve it more than others because you have worried better & worked better. The plants and the animals of this world so beautiful and God says, they do not labour or spin to attain their beauty. You are so much more valuable to God than the animals and plants. And yes, God knows that you need money! The reason you are not feeling your value, is because you are so worried about everything. Worried that life will not work out, so worried that you even got urself in unnecessary debts. STOP WORRYING & LIVE. CHOOSE LIFE. As you work, as you pursue that business, that degree, Let go of that constant worry. Rather Matthew 6:33. When you Matthew 6:33 there will be no room for worry. Firstly seek first Gods kingdom - that is seeking the legalities/rules of His Kingdom. One of the most important legalities is that it is by GRACE you have been saved absolutely nothing that you could have done would have helped you be saved. Many more legalities, that nothing is impossible with God. He chose you, you did not chose Him (even though you sing ka nyaka nyaka Jeso, ka mo fumana, truth is He found you). The legality is that He knew you before you were born, you are more than a conqueror, that no weapon that is formed against you shall prosper, you are the head and not the tail ( even though ur title at work might not say so), you are fearfully and wonderfully made (even though you might have been referred to as ugly many times than u care to remember); the legality is that you have been made a king and a priest (Rev 1:6), you are Holy and blameless before God; that when you pass thru the waters, God will be with you, rivers will not sweep you over, fires will not burn you. To know and understand more of this legalities, it requires that you devote yourself like Ezra to the study of the Word of God (Ezra 7:10), and never let it depart from your mouth, meditate on it day & night (Joshua 1:8). Secondly devote yourself to prayer (Colossians 4:2). Matthew 6:33 secondly means that you seek Gods righteousness not your own righteuosness. It is that you were made righteous not by what you did but rather by what Jesus did. Even though He was without sin, He became sin for us so that we might be called Gods righteousness. To Him who loves us and has freed us from our sins (Rev 1:5). Just like you once was a sinner because of Adams sin; you have been made righteous because of Jesus. The worries of life makes us miss this fact. With worry, you work for everything, you deserve everything that you got. This righteousness was expensive but given to you for free. The more you have an understanding of this concept, the less stressed out you will be. The will be no room for you to condemn yourself in fact once you fully grasp this concept, there will be no room for acts of the sinful nature in ur life. Sin will be the very last thing in your mind if does mange to get itself there. Finally Matthew 6:33 will see that your everything is in place. You will begin to realise that it is God that enables you. It is God that grants promotions, God that gives business, God that enables you to get that degree, God that gives you that ability to buy that mansion, to buy the DKNY, rolexes, guess, nikes, God that enables you to buy from Bakos brothers. You will be more appreciative of what you have. The spirit of competing with others and feeling like you are better than others will go out of the window. You will become so much more grateful, thankful to God your maker, God your enabler.
