Matthew 7:21-23 could be one of the biggest caution flags for "Christians." It is also interesting that only a few verses before this, Jesus informs his followers that the only way to enter the Kingdom of Heaven is through a narrow gate (that few ever find), and that the path that leads to hell is wide. In Matthew 7:21-23, Jesus is speaking directly to those who consider themselves to be part of the church or "Christians", yet they are denied access to the Heaven on judgement day because their lifestyle/actions speak otherwise. If you claim to be a follower of Christ, then ask yourself "does Christ define who I am, and do I desire to follow to his commandments (not out of compulsion but a heartfelt desire)?" Paul says in Romans to "test yourself to see if you are in the faith." Are you?
