Matthew 8:34 Then the whole town went out to meet Jesus. And when they saw him, they pleaded with him to leave their region. Such a repulsive and awful prayer that one can pray, "Christ leave us alone, we prefer our swines and not you chasing demons out of people. We prefer not to make any losses in life in order to gain spiritually. We are fine with our riches, we are fine with the worldy lusts...dont touch anything that diminishes our comfort on earth. We dont mind being short of your salvation. Christ depart from us!" And true to their prayer, Christ left and never to return. What a sorry state! Has this ever been your prayer? Consciously or unconsciously. Have you been living your life in a manner that would suggest that this is your prayer? Does Christ have a say over your finances, marriage, family, workplace, business, friendship/circles? Seek reconciliation with the Lord today if you have in anyway prayed him out of your life or some areas of your life. 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousnes.
