Maximum Penalty For James Perrin Jr.! Attacked His Girlfriends Dog And Tried To Destroy Her For Mating With A Boxer! A 29-year-old Greenwood man is accused of attacking his girlfriends pit bull and striking him in the stomach repeatedly. He is also accused of trying to destroy the dog because it had MATED with a neighbors boxer. James Perrin Jrs girlfriend called the deputies to their house on West Deadfall Road on Oct 18 about a loose boxer that had come onto their property. The owner of the boxer told the deputies that the dog had ran off in the morning when her husband left to work. The deputy TICKETED the owner for allowing the dog to run loose. When the deputy returned to Perrins house, his girlfriend was crying saying that the man tried to destroy the female pit bull. The dog was bleeding from a large wound on his throat. When the deputy told the woman that her husband will be charged for hurting the dog the woman said that she will destroy the dog herself and accused the officer of caring more about the dog. The dog was taken from the property and was rushed to the Greenville County ANIMAL SHELTER and told the workers not to release the dog to anyone in that family. The abuser was booked into the Greenwood County Detention Center but was since released on bond.
