May 10, 2014 Drew Update Day 39 Greetings FB friends! I havent posted regarding Drews progress for a week, so thought I would give a little update. Things are going great with Drew. Outpatient cognitive therapy is progressing. He has physically recovered to the point of doing anything he desires. He still is in bed most nights by 11. The neck brace will come off in 21 days. Last night was the first night that his neurosurgeon allowed him to sleep without it. Drew is great to have around! Several character traits are either new or enhanced: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control. What a glorious end result of an initially unwelcome event. God is in control! I was talking to Drew a few nights ago about the miracles in his life. There have been a few: 1. A very courageous young college student made a counter-culture decision 22 years ago and gave you life, 2. A desperate couple looking to adopt was told about you, 3. Across time and space God made you our son, our heir, our answer to years of prayer and waiting, 4. There have been times early in your life that you have wandered off and become lost, always to be found, 5. A year ago you fell asleep driving and totaled out your car, only to walk away, 6. Miracle of miracles, your recent car accident recovery and resultant new heart and spirit. Man! Luck? Naaa. Chance? Naaa. Gods protection and control in your life? Yeah! One of Gods Hebrew names is Jehovah sabaoth: Lord God of Heavenly Hosts. Thats a whole lot of angels around Him, and buddy, Hes got a few on special assignment to you! God is in control! God is good, all of the time!
