If you are taking a tour of a building, a city, or any other place that is not familiar, you would appreciate the services of a tour guide to help you and show you the way. A competent guide can make a big difference in the enjoyment of your tour. When I go to a new city I always try to take a city tour. One of my favorite cities is Paris. The first time I went to Paris, I wondered how I would see the city in the short time that I had. I purchased a tour map and started out driving and was quickly confused. I wised up and I prayed. I turned the corner and in front of my car was a major sightseeing bus company. I took a three-hour tour on a sightseeing bus and was able to relax and enjoy seeing the whole city while understanding what I was seeing. A competent guide led the way. In your personal life, you may sometimes feel that you are walking or driving in an unknown territory, that the pathway you need to take is obscure. At such a time you can know that you have your very own personal tour guide with you to help you and show you the way through life – the presence of God. If you are confused, the presence of God clarifies your thoughts and gives you the illumination you need. If you are unsure of the right path to take, the presence of God shows you the way that is right and good, or will lead you to people that can help. If you lack confidence, the Christ spirit illumines and inspires you and gives you courage. In any need for guidance and right direction, you can depend on your never failing guide, the presence of God. Life is delightful and welcoming, whether you are alone or in the midst of a crowd, for God is with you. You always feel loved, and you always feel needed. Gods great love fills your heart. This love blesses you as it guides you with its constantly reassuring presence. The strength of God is your strength; the power of God is your power. The life of God is your life. You feel capable and energetic. You can do all things in him who strengthens you. You are happy because you know you are the beloved of God, and important to God. You are so important, that God wants to show you the way to make this day successful; and in a larger way to make your life successful. You go about this day with the singing, joyous heart, and are a receptive spirit that looks for the good, rejoices in the good, appreciates the good and enjoys the good that God is showing you along the way. You feel the power of God moving around you and within you. You carry with you this feeling of oneness with God wherever you go and whatever you do. There is nothing to fear because God is your constant guide. You are one with your good from God wherever you go. In God you are one with all goodness. The human mind in any person has access to genius. Let us give thanks for our remarkable mind and our God-given power to think, to learn, to comprehend, to remember and to understand.
