May I introduce our boy All Slews Star 6 yr OTTB. We found him June 22, 2013. I answered an add posted from a rescue that said they needed a home for him as they werent equipped to take care of him. He was in a big pasture with many other horses and he was the lowest of the pecking order and was not getting the feed he needed. The picture she had sent me actually looked better than when we first saw him in person. I looked into his eyes and turned to my husband and said we need to take him home. We gave the lady $300 and loaded him up. The two pics are exactly one year apart. Once he was brought home he was dewormed, vaccinated, teeth floated and slowly given grass/alfalfa hay until he could be free fed. To this day he is fed three to four times a day. He is truly a gentle giant standing at 17 hands. We have lucked out with this guy. Years ago we had another Seattle Slew great-grandson and I had sold him and regretted it everyday since. Although he did go to a wonderful home with a lovely young women and amazing rider. However I now have a second chance with another Seattle Slew and will enjoy him everyday of his life. We are currently in training with good friends who are Eventers. P.S. I so enjoy reading everyones posts. Thanks so much for sharing. :-)
