May is the Stroke Association’s Action on Stroke Month, where survivors, carers, professionals and family members come together to take action on stroke. The month-long campaign aims to raise awareness of strokes through a wealth of events and activities nationwide. The highly successful Stroke Early Supported Discharge (ESD) Team in Greenwich support people who have suffered a stroke, reducing their need for hospital stays by providing intensive rehabilitation at home and encouraging people to regain their independence and a healthy return to life.
