I suppose in the end, you become what you are exposed to everyday, the pictures, the movies, the commercials, the articles all mold you into thinking this is the perfect person, lose weight with..., etc. This continuing affirming process of treating deviants, excluding them shows the best side of the coin of the information society. A growing mechanism in which the discourse of insanity has literally covered every aspect of the social field. Anyone who says this is a great advancement in terms of humanism is just raving mad, because it has created a new way in which how we look at deviants. Instead of calling them what they are, weve rather created a new discourse which is beyond and even far more worse what the old one represented. A discourse much more totalitarian, in terms that it is much more incorporated within the old mechanism of power which puts the deviants in instability. Back in the middle ages men could always disallow women to eat, and heres the thing, in todays society we have rather constructed a discourse that makes women starve themselves to death. And all this through the medium of media, images, movies, articles, etc. Every little picture is unconsciously and consciously affecting you, what you think of your body, what you think of other peoples bodies.
