Maybe we need to take a closer look at ourselves. ❤️ My husband and I were at the mall and saw this little girl who was really overweight and walked with her head down. She was afraid to go up the escalator and was holding up the line. Her mother and sister were pushing her and yelling at her. We were watching this horrified because as if the the pushing and yelling was not enough when the little girl moved to get out of the way of the people waiting to go up, the mother slapped her on the back of the head. My heart literally broke. She tried again and was able to get the courage to step on. My husband and I waited at the top of the escalator and gave her a high five and pat on the back and told her how awesome she was for being so brave! For just one second we saw her eyes light up like it was the first time anyone told her that. This message is for that beautiful little girl who has never known love and is going to have a long journey to discovering it for herself. You are beautiful, special, important, capable, and deserving of love.
