Mayor Annise Parker looks and sounds confident in her last day of campaigning for her last term in office as Houstons mayor. Im in place at the George R. Brown Convention Center, doing what people in my business call empty ballroom live shots for the early newscasts. This is where Parker hopes to celebrate her ninth consecutive victory in a citywide election. (Three times she won races for city council, three times for city controller, twice for mayor.) My colleagues are deployed elsewhere: Sherry Williams at the Ben Hall victory party, Rucks Russell covering the Astrodome watch party. First results should roll in sometime after 7:00.
