Mayor DeBlasio with all do respects. They did not turn their backs on the family they turned their backs on you the one who created all of this. Your leadership rhetoric failed you when you turned your back on the NYPD in favor of the race baiting protesters. You Mr.Mayor sent a loud clear message not only to the NYPD but to all law enforcement officers around this country. And yet, we have not heard one ounce of an apology from you or your staff. You can bet Mr. Mayor that the NYPD knows what a family is and it isnt telling their children to be afraid of police officers as you told your own son. Mr. Mayor you can bet that this officers family will be well taken care of by the NYPD family in blue. I dont think you have made such a jesture. So in closing Mr Mayor they did not turn their backs on the officers family they turned their backs on you for failed leadership, siding with those protesters who promote hatred and violence and the most careless words you could have spoken to your own son.
