Mayport C&C Fisheries Restaurant of the day: Restaurant Orsay Located on Park Street in Riverside. Established in 2008 with the hopes of providing a warm, genuine dining experience without pretense in a bustling, fun atmosphere with smiling, attentive service. They amazing french/american style cuisine! Oh did I mention they serve brunch as well?! I cant think of anything better than a french style brunch! Being such a huge fan of food their menu is just unbelievably filled with so many things to try! But while youre there you might consider the Pan Roasted Fish: served with anson mills antebellum grits, creamed corn, eden farms bacon, lobster roe butter, and upland cress. Though being how the weather today just makes you crave something hearty, warmer, you should try their Lobster Pot Pie, yes I said it, Lobster Pot Pie! A whole poached Maine Lobster, mushrooms, peas & carrots, a biscuit crust, in a roasted lobster reduction. Um yum!! I dont think I need to say anything more about this place!! Flounder: The flounder is a species of flatfish that is found in the coastal waters of the northern Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. Flounder are found hiding on the ocean floor at depths from shallow coral reefs to the deepest trench on Earth. There are five different species of flounder found in the oceans, and only one of these flounder species (the Japanese flounder) is found in the Northern Pacific Ocean. The summer flounder, the winter flounder and the southern flounder are all found in the western Atlantic Ocean, while the European flounder is found in the colder waters around Northern Europe. Flounder are carnivorous and highly predatory animals. The flounder hides on the sand on the sea floor waiting for potential prey, which the flounder ambushes once it has been spotted. Flounder prey on a variety of bottom-dwelling marine species including small fish, shrimp and crabs.
