Nora, when memorizing sides yesterday for the Dawn role, had a lightbulb moment and said to me Wait mom, Amber said to follow these three steps when I am learning my sides .... It was so cute, and reassuring to me, that she grasped what she did from the class --and was using it to her benefit. Tell Amber thank you from Nora (and me.) Daria is inspired. Thank you! Best, Marta Komeza I had a great time at the workshop. It was interesting to see exactly what goes on in the casting directors position. Showing us the slight differences between two actors that would ultimately decide which one got the role was very beneficial. I learned about evoking emotion from the reader and always staying connected. The whole dont make it about you, make it about the reader was great advice because it helped me with the evoking emotion part. I think it will really help me with future auditions. Thank you so much for allowing me to do the workshop Joe!! Its truly one of the most insightful workshops I have ever taken. Thanks again!!! Tali Hi Joe- Amber was incredible, per usual. My favorite part was learning how to effectively apply feedback on the spot to immediately readjust the scene. I also found it very helpful to see things from a casting directors viewpoint on EcoCast/ActorsAccess when we watched audition tapes Thanks again! I had so much fun and definitely feel more prepared.
