McAllen International Carfest opened today at 4 pm. What a fantastic selection of cars have been assembled for the public. When was the last time you saw a bone stock 52 Buick Super Woody station wagon, or a beautiful early 60s 4 cylinder Tempest? Or maybe you would prefer one of the many trucks? Stock or modified, from the 1950s thru to current time, hitting virtually every generation. Lots of Chevys, Mustangs, Chevelles, Camaros, Trans Ams, GTOs, Willys cars, Novas, old Cadillacs, cool low riders...and that is just a small sample of what is on display in just the first two rows of the show. Remember, we have filled the entire building. Other sections have rat rods, custom cars, Mopars of all types, import cars, Jeeps, and so much more, including the General Lee and the Black Buick GNX from the movie Fast and Furious. A full day of fun for the whole family! Come on down and see the show tomorrow, we open at 10 am on Saturday. And there will also be an outside show and shine car show that normally pulls 100 to 200 cars, as well as a swap meet (Free, as is the show and shine), and there will be RC drag racing, a rally road course for full size cars so you can test your skill, and there will be live music from different performers during the day. See you there!!
