McCain and Graham press conference today was not as bad as I - TopicsExpress

McCain and Graham press conference today was not as bad as I thought. They used the term "coup" to describe what happened in Egypt, which is a true technical term, but not in a sense to change it but to leverage their negotiation for MB leaders. They were realists and spoke of future steps towards transition to democracy, no mention of backward steps or restoration of Morsi. They asked for national dialogue from both parties and asked MB to refrain from violence which is the first remark to their violence. The one down-side was the call for release of the MB leaders when they hinted "you can not negotiate with a prisoner". Finally, I can not overlook the temporal relationship of these satellite visits to AlQaeda threats and to the Benghazi probe. To me, the MB are blackmailing America through AlQaeda, the pathetic part is to see the US Senators give in.
