Me: Wow Son. Did you build this? IL: Yes. Me: Thats great, you might grow up to be an architect someday. IL: Whats an architect? Me: An architect is somebody who designs things to be built. In this case you were the architect of the castle. IL: No, I actually built it myself. Me: Well, sometimes architects are also involved in the building process. IL: I dont want to be an architect I want to be a firefighter. Me: You dont want to build things? IL: No, its just putting blocks on top of other blocks. I want to do real work. Me: Well, if you want to do real work you should be a construction worker. Theyre the ones that actually build the building. IL: No, I think Id rather be the one running into the building when its on fire. Me: Im not sure your mom would be very happy with you having that kind of job. IL: No, probably not. But its what I want to do. I love the simple wisdom of children. As always, baby sister demanded she be in the photo too.
