Me and the two youngest have been out working in the dirt, planting some roses for the Mrs. Weve transplanted four different kinds of roses over the past few weeks. Today we harvested the first rose from her Betty Boops (sown in honor of Paulas sister). The kiddos are marveling at how mixing some good dirt together with some not-so-good dirt, add some work and a few briers; then wait a few weeks and you have beautiful flowers growing from them. The entire family also enjoyed some pool time today. Its been truly good to spend some individual time with each one of them this week. I have finally been in one place long enough that it feels like Ive stopped moving. My left ear is still ringing a bit from Saturday nights Rudy Fest closeout (it gets LOUD!!!), but I am starting to feel much better. I think I must have borrowed some energy from somewhere a few days back and Ive been having to pay it back this week with interest. The family is heading to the show with me Saturday since its close to home. I am particularly excited about that. My baby girl wants to hear Sammy Shelor play that banjo! Shell probably have to dance a little bit! Shes like that . . .
