And Im happy i did: playing a good tournament fighter is a very different experience then playing your average crazy online warrior in ranked. Theres a lot more thinking involved, and adaptation, and all the good qualities we are all trying to cultivate in our play, besides just bulldozing people. Im also encouraged by the fact that I didnt get bodied free. The matches were close, and he used his real characters, though perhaps not at full capabilities. Still, I feel like the skill gap between me and top players is gradually closing, and thats excellent. This is probably some of the best Honda play Ive ever played, though I STILL for the life of me find it hard to pull the trigger on ochio. Much better buttons and spacing though, and much less jumping.
