Me, in my Ebola costume for Halloween, riding the DC Circulator bus and at Safeway buying a pumpkin. A young woman actually got up out of her seat and walked to the rear of the bus when she saw me. Older people on the bus and at Safeway just shook their heads and smiled wanly at the folly of youth. Young men thought it was hysterical and laughed loudly. Whenever someone thought it was funny, Id do a fake cough -- and theyd laugh even more. When the cashier at Safeway touched my hand givine me change, I said, Oh no! You touched me! And he laughed and got out the hand cleanser, which had everyone in line laughing. The people in my apartment building thought it was a riot.
