MeTV was showing another of their sanitized R-rated movies this morn. Meaning, most of the violence and naughty words (I snicker when they dub in freak or freaking instead) were 86ed. I remember watching this 1999 horror flick on cable back then called Disturbing Behavior. Its about a new kid in town going to a new high school and discovering students around him being transformed one by one into model students (long-haired juveniles one day, clean cut BMOC wearing block letter jackets the next). Naturally, theres some weird experiments conducted to control them, with some disturbing glitches. Really, horror is too strong a word for this one---its more creepy in a Twilight Zone-ish way. Actor James Marsden plays the new kid; this was a year before he became famous as the visor-wearing mutant Cyclops in the X-men movies.
