Meatpacking & High Line This Sunday was tasty, imagine! First - TopicsExpress

Meatpacking & High Line This Sunday was tasty, imagine! First we found the Caique, that here in NY too. He ended up suggesting the Meatpacking district for us to know. The Meatpacking district formerly occupied by slaughterhouses (hence the name!), Today is an emporium of luxury. There you will find designer boutiques, galleries and cafes. It is well known also for nights in the neighborhood, many ballads, besides being super busy for stylish people. In harmony with the MePa (Meatpacking is called as the people here), one word defines the place: cool. To be honest, theres so much to see that one day just was not enough. I intend to return and uncover more about the shops, restaurants, clubs, Chelsea Market ... Outside and part of the Standard Hotel (which we did not visit yet), is the restaurant The Standard Grill. Needless to say, its super cool? It is those restaurants that we see on film, you know? In fact, everything you see in this neighborhood brings that feeling. The menu is filled with options for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, etc. We arrived on time the Brunch. My request was The Standard Burger, a burger with bacon and cheddar. I confess that I left a little to be desired, you know? The bacon was crisp and the meat is not as tasty. What I really liked the crisp toothpick, super thin and crispy, the way I like it. I shared with the beautiful Caique, thankfully because Im not one of those that stand alone American dish. Ps: my mom went to asia after they ate the Tuna Niçoise Salad, kind of raw tuna. We spend almost $ 50 (Mommy and I) and not worth it, I confess. Anyway, straight from the restaurant we went to the High Line, a park built on an old elevated train line. This rail line was abandoned and recycled, building a delicious green place, I swear. I was open to the balcony of the creators of this mouth. Today is a totally nice park with benches for reading, fountains, cafeteria ... It was crazy to imagine that this was what it was. For hours I would be there, taking a tan on that cold day yesterday was. And of course, super busy, both with locals and with tourists. I hope you enjoyed this tip, because I LOVED! We really want to return to explore more of the trendy Meatpacking district, its shops, clubs, cafes, restaurants, etc. Besides seeing the sun for the High Line said to be WONDERFUL (it was very cold and we could not stand to see this show!). Kisses kisses.
