Media Bulletin Chautauqua County Sheriffs Office: On 3-15-14 around 12:43AM a Deputy and K9 Drago where on patrol in the Village of Mayville in the area of Rt 430 and Bloomer Rd. The deputy observed a snowmobile fail to stop at the side of the highway. The snowmobile entered the roadway and nearly struck a west bound vehicle. The Deputy then activated his emergency lights to stop the snow mobile. The snow mobile then continued on the roadway and struck the deputies vehicle. The operator of the snowmobile was identified as Michael J. Trippy, 25, of Westfield, NY. Upon investigation it is alleged that Trippy was intoxicated. Trippy was charged with Snowmobiling while intoxicated, reckless operation. Fail to stop before crossing a highway, Fail to yield while crossing a highway. Trippy was arraigned in the Town of Chautauqua Court and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of bail. No one was injured in the accident.
