Media watch Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are locked in a six-way race to sign Benfica striker Rodrigo. According to Portuguese publication A Bola, the 23-year-old has attracted admiring glances from a host of top European clubs, following a series of exciting performances at Estadio da Luz. Red Devils boss David Moyes has been credited with an interest in bringing Rodrigo to Old Trafford, as he looks to strengthen his squad ahead of a renewed Premier League title push in 2014-15. Jose Mourinho has also been mooted as an admirer of the Brazilian-born star, and Chelsea could return to Benfica just six months after bringing Nemanja Matic back to Stamford Bridge in January. Spurs are also understood to be monitoring the players situation, after impressing against Tim Sherwoods side in the Europa League last month, with director of football Franco Baldini planning for new arrivals at White Hart Lane in the summer. The Daily Mail reported in March that Rodrigos valuation stands at £25million, as Benfica manager Jorge Jesus confirmed interest from Premier League rivals Liverpool in the forwards signature. Asked specifically about speculation linking his player with a move to Anfield, the 59-year-old responded: Its normal. Every Benfica player is in a big window. The league is full of high quality players so its normal for other clubs to be interested. Rodrigo is going through a good moment. Despite Jesuss recent comments, a move to Liverpool - or any other English club for that matter - remains far from certain, with the likes of Valencia and AS Roma also keeping tabs on Rodrigos progress in the Primeira Liga.
