This fluke accident has left her with countless medical challenges, including severe brain damage. It is too early to know what Lizzy’s future will be, but we do know that she has a long and complicated road ahead in order to have ANY hope of a quality life. We are overwhelmed with just how many expenses this family will incur, not to mention the emotional toll to Jim and their children. Liz is a wife, mom of three children, sister, esteemed ESL teacher in the Worcester Public Schools, and a loyal and fabulous friend. She is THE woman who has made the extra effort to help countless newly immigrated families in the community, as well as mentoring younger colleagues in the field of ESL teaching. She’s also the woman who helps organize her mom’s medical needs, supports her neighbors in their challenges, and finds time to laugh or cry over a glass or two of wine with her friends.
