Brendan will introduce meditations and contemplative practices rooted in the Tibetan Buddhist and Avaita Vedanta traditions that are designed to cut through our habitual thinking and bring us closer to our true nature. Beginners and experienced practitioners are welcome. Brendan Kennedy has been practicing Tibetan Buddhism for 28 years. His main teachers are: His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Khyentse Rimpoche, Chatral Rimpoche, Sokste Rimpoche and Lama Surya Das. Drawing on his deep study of Ramana Maharishi and Nisagardatta Maharaji, Brendan illuminates the complementary similarities between Dzogchen and Avaita Vedanta through experiential teaching. Brendan gives a few intensive retreats each year, but primarily focuses on synthesizing theory and practice at his desert hermitage in California. In accordance with Bhuddist tradition, we will collect “dana” or free-will offerings for the teaching, rather than charging a fixed fee. Please be as generous as you can. Brendan will be traveling from California to make these teachings available. *You are welcome to attend only the Saturday teaching. Sunday will be a progression on the previous day.
