Meet Chester!! This heartbreaker came to us today from a local shelter. He is 5 years old and a standard at 21 pounds. His tail has not stopped wagging since he walked out of the cage at the shelter earlier today. He has made friends with everyone he has met since!! Chester is heart worm positive and has a deformity of his hind leg from an old, untreated injury. We are currently running tests to check on how advanced the heart worm disease is and x-rays to see what is happening with his back leg. He will spend a couple weeks with a quarantine foster to be sure he has not caught any illnesses in the shelter. His medical bills will be around $500, his pull fee was $30 and a new start kit (bed, blanket, harness, leash, toy and first months preventative medication) will be $50.
