Meet Max. He is a super sweet German Shepherd mix that came in to see Dr. Wynn after his owners very quickly noticed something was wrong. Maxs abdomen was swollen and he was very lethargic. He was quickly diagnosed with gastric dilation and volvulus (GDV), commonly referred to as bloat. Dr. Wynn took him to surgery and was able to de-rotate his stomach and suture it in place to prevent this from happening again. Here he is after surgery, doing great.
