Transparency Moment Its been a rough and complicated 2 days. Late Thursday afternoon I received a phone call from my mom that was like a punch in the stomach. One minute Im joking about my temptation battle with my jobs vending machine on FB and the next, Im trying to strike that delicate balance of finishing my episode with dire personal circumstances floating at the perimeter of my thoughts. Someone who has been in my life for ALL of its 41 years, deteriorated quickly and is in ICU battling for her life. She is now in a coma. I will not say who it is because her children are my FB friends. Although Im a transparent open book, I understand that some are not and I respect her childrens privacy. Its been really tough to pull myself together mentally as I am concerned for my special person and her husband. They have been married for like 40+ years so of course, he is out of sorts. The initial prognosis wasnt good so Im in that contradictory phase of being nervous and a tad bit anxious but still knowing full well that God is capable and well versed in turning around the bleakest situation. My nerves are a bit shot but constantly reminding myself that God is the ultimate healer and peace-giver. I earnestly pray that God gives her family restful and peaceful hearts as they walk out this rocky leg of their journey.
