Meet Midnight, a lovely 2 year old gal with quite the story to tell. She was caught in a house fire and rushed to an emergency clinic where she was treated with oxygen therapy for smoke inhalation. Once she was stable our ambulance department picked her up and transported her to the SPCA for further care. Midnight was given a thorough examination which revealed an old fracture to her hip as well as being heartworm positive. She underwent extensive heartworm treatment and even received a special surgery called FHO to remove the damaged bone in her joint. After 10 weeks of foster care and physical therapy she is now available for adoption. She has made terrific strides and we can’t wait for her to find her fur-ever home.
