Meet Onyx! Featured adoptable dog of the day. Hello, My name is Onyx. I am a 1 1/2yr old black male. I have a big white chest and my back toes are white. I am house trained and crate trained. My foster Mom tells me I am really good at both of these. I get along with my two Great Dane foster brothers. I have not met any little dogs yet. I have foster cats in the house too. I really like to chase them. One of the cats let me sniff him and I just wanted to make him run so I barked at him. It worked and the chase was on. My foster Mom says this is bad but they are just so fun to chase. My foster Mom and the Dr. tells me I am really overweight. Personally I think I am just fluffy. Needless to say I am on a weight loss program of diet and exercise. I never thought I would be doing weight watchers for dogs. The good part of dieting is the walks outside. I am good on a leash but will pull my foster Mom if I see another animal. I am working really hard on my training to learn not to pull. My foster Mom tells me I have gotten so much better and she says I have lost some weight. My most favorite thing to do is bury my head in my foster moms lap and let her scratch my back. I could do this all day. My foster Mom says I have to loose weight and then get neutered, whatever that is, before I can be adopted. I hope this is soon because although I love my foster family, I would really love to have a family of my own. Onyx is available for adoption in Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsjn, and Missouri.
