Meet Team MAMA Frankie Brunker My first pregnancy was low - TopicsExpress

Meet Team MAMA Frankie Brunker My first pregnancy was low risk, problem free and the happiest time of my life until we went into hospital because the baby had stopped moving at just beyond 38 weeks. It felt like our world collapsed when we were told it was because our baby had died. I delivered our daughter Esme less than 48 hours later, and we were able to spend some precious time with her perfectly formed and beautiful little body. We were devastated, but because Esmes stillbirth was unexplained, we were reassured we could try for a little brother or sister for her whenever we were ready. Less than six months later I was fortunate enough to be pregnant again, and although my second time round was fraught with anxiety, I was determined to enjoy whatever time we had with our second child. I had wonderful support from my care providers, who all reassured me during routine scans and all the extra monitoring we requested that all was going well. I was induced soon after I reached full term, and we welcomed our son Jago Toby into the world just over a year after Esme died. Jago looked so much like his sister - utterly perfect and beautiful - and brought back hope and happiness to our lives. Esme will forever be our missing piece, but we look forward to telling Jago all about his very special sister.
