Meet Togan. Togan is a 16 month old APBT who has fear-based people and dog aggression. Hes wearing a muzzle because he has bitten someone before and, if it werent for the muzzle at :03, he wouldve bit me. Instead, my phone went for a nose dive. Togan is a sweetheart at home with his family, but hes so aggressive with strangers and other dogs that his owners are afraid to take him out in public. A dog like this is a liability; in the shelter, he would be PTS immediately. Togans owners love him, theyve had him since he was a tiny puppy, and theyre unwilling to give up on him. A lot of Togans behaviors actually remind me of Duke when I first adopted him. I dont have any before videos of Duke, but he acted just like this. (Those of you whove met the new and improved Duke may find that hard to believe, but those of you who met the old Duke will agree with me. He was very aggressive!) This video was recorded before we began any actual training. Our first session today was a huge success. Good boy, Togan. I believe in you, buddy!! Such a handsome boy.
